Katya Lewis, owner, Licensed Massage Therapist
Katya Lewis is a state licensed and nationally certified Clinical Massage and Shiatsu Therapist. She graduated from nationally-renowned Cayce/Reilly School of Massotherapy in Virginia Beach, VA in 2007 and is a certified member in good standing with the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP).
She has graduated from Yumi Asakura's Shiatsu practitioner training in Ithaca, NY. She also completed continuing education in Myofascial Release (John Barns method), Neuromuscular Therapy, Myoskeletal Alignment ( Eric Dalton), Thai Yoga Massage (Lotus Palm Institute), Bowen Therapy (Tom Bowen’s Method), Prenatal and Perinatal Massage (Carol Osbourne), Postnatal Rebozo Massage and Closing the Bones Ceremony (Sophie Messager) as well as Medical Cupping and Gua Sha. She completed her Ayruvedic Bodywork Specialist training with Karyn Chabot at the Sacred Stone School in Rhode Island.
She is also a registered yoga instructor and receives ongoing training in functional flexibility with Olga Karmansky.
She continues to advance her knowledge in order to help people live healthy and pain free lives.
Katya is a Nutritional Consultant specializing in Ayurvedic and TCM traditions of food therapy. She graduated from the Natural Healing Institute in Encinitas, CA.
Katya uses her training in the various fields to empower people to improve their health and equip them with the tools to do so by offering stretching and strengthening exercises as well as Nutritional Tips.
Often using several modalities in each session, Katya uses an integrated approach to her work and looks for the root cause of the client’s dysfunction so that long-term relief can be obtained.
Katya lives with her husband and four children in Alfred Station and enjoys homeschooling, cooking, fermenting, farming and spending time outdoors with her family.
